Diabetic Turkey Burgers

Turkey burgers are one of my favorite dinners, making them even more low carb created the Diabetic Turkey Burgers:)  This turkey burger recipe for diabetes doesn’t require a bun!!  I make the turkey burgers with a little bit of oatmeal (1/4 a cup) to keep them together.

You can skip the oatmeal if you want them to be almost zero carbs.  The turkey burgers are a little soft without the oatmeal (but you could cook them in the oven and it would work).  Sometimes on the grill if they are too soft, they fall through the grates of the grill.

The other day, someone asked me what I serve with the turkey burgers.  It depends on how lazy I feel.  If I don’t want a lot of work, I’ll serve a salad and some canned veggies.

If I’m up to make something else, I will make butternut squash fries, recipe: butternut squash fries. sweet potatoes for diabetics

Other simple ideas are roasted veggies or cut up raw veggies or even cauliflower rice (I have a few variations on the blog, if you search “cauliflower” you’ll find all the recipes.

Happy Eating!!
