Diabetic Taco Recipe: It’s taco tuesday and us Diabetics are eating low-carb.  Here’s a great way to eat healthy and enjoy the tacos!! Turkey Taco Bowls, you can eat tons of veggies and others can have the carbs if they choose!

Instructions
  1. Heat skillet on medium/ high heat with avocado oil.
  2. Add ground turkey, start to brown.
  3. Add granulated onion, garlic and chili powder, stir.
  4. Once fully browned, 10-15 minutes. Add salsa & stir.
  5. Cook 1-2 minutes.
  6. Serve over shredded lettuce, add other veggies: tomatoes, avocado, cucumber (whatever you have).
  7. Top with hot sauce, salsa and greek yogurt!
  8. Optional: lime wedge for flavor

  • Canned Beans ( I don’t eat a ton of beans because they require insulin)
  • Other veggies you have ready to go (roasted veggies would be delicious)
  • Hot or mild salsa or hot sauce
