Baked Low Sugar Teriyaki Chicken Recipe – Diabetic Teriyaki Chicken

 In Diabetes, featured, Recipe

What a great healthy baked teriyaki chicken recipe, perfect for dinner tonight!  Throw this recipe in the oven for 30 minutes, grab some veggies and dinner is ready!!

Most teriyaki sauces that are store bought will contain a ton of sugar (aka carbohydrates).  This has always frustrated me because I love teriyaki  chicken and used to eat it with white rice, but since I’ve been diabetic, that’s changed.  Now I substitute the rice for cauliflower rice.  I have a great fried cauliflower rice recipe, link : click here.

It’s tough to find a healthy teriyaki chicken recipe that is also low sugar / low carbs, this makes teriyaki chicken seem like a food that isn’t great for diabetes.  But, this diabetic teriyaki chicken contains no added sugar, it is all flavor and a baked teriyaki chicken version!!

This is a perfect low-carb teriyaki chicken recipe, with no added sugar at all!!  The flavors are delicious, I like to dip the chicken in either toasted sesame oil or hot sauce (sriracha is my fave!!).

This low sugar teriyaki chicken recipe is such a game changer in our family!! My family loves asian food, but we generally don’t eat it very often because of the sugar and carbohydrates.  This recipe is easy, family friendly and a great diabetic teriyaki chicken recipe!!
